Carl Munters (1897-1989) was a Swedish engineer and inventor who made significant contributions to the field of refrigeration and air conditioning. In 1922, he co-founded the company AB Arctic, which specialized in the production of industrial refrigeration equipment. He developed several innovative refrigeration technologies, including the absorption refrigeration cycle and the regenerative heat exchanger.
Munters also worked on improving the efficiency of air conditioning systems, developing a method for dehumidifying air by using a desiccant material. This led to the creation of the Munters Corporation, which focused on air treatment solutions.
Throughout his career, Munters received numerous awards and recognitions for his contributions to the field of refrigeration and air conditioning. Today, his innovations continue to shape the industry, with many commercial and industrial buildings utilizing Munters' patented air treatment systems.
